About Casa Tierra

Designed by Bobby Berk, the renowned interior designer from the TV show Queer Eye, Casa Tierra is a Spanish-style estate that seamlessly blends modern elegance with desert flair. Boasting more than 5,000 square feet, you’ll love exploring the property’s outdoor spaces during the wedding festivities!

Wedding Timeline

  • Ceremony

The ceremony will take place at Casa Tierra’s wedding deck and begin promptly at 4pm! When using rideshare, please allow enough time to make it to the venue.

While the bride and groom take their wedding portraits, enjoy specialty cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at built in bars on the property’s patio.

Celebrate with dinner, drinks, dessert, and dancing on Casa Tierra’s pickleball court!

Wedding FAQs

  • We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than November 1, 2025! You can let us know you’re coming by clicking the RSVP button in the menu above or by mailing us the RSVP card from your paper invitation.

  • Indio/Palm Springs International Airport (PSP): ~22 minutes away

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): ~2 hours away

  • We recommend booking the Holiday Inn Express in Ranchero Mirage, where we’ve reserved a hotel block for our guests just 15 minutes from the wedding venue! Reserve this hotel by calling 760-340-5516 and asking for the Simmons-Yi hotel block or by clicking this link. We suggest booking early, as it is based on availability.

  • Our dress code is formal. We request that women wear mid-to-floor-length dresses and men wear button downs and slacks (lightweight jackets are also encouraged). If you’d like to match the wedding’s theme, opt for a solid desert color such as terracotta, prickly pear, or dusty blue.

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. While it’ll be warm during the day, the desert cools down at night.

  • Please note that there is no parking available at Casa Tierra. We recommend using Uber or Lyft for transportation to the venue. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm, so we ask that you arrive by 3:40pm to allow time to be seated.

After the reception, we’ve arranged for a shuttle service to drop off guests at the hotel block (the Holiday Inn in Ranchero Mirage) or the afterparty nearby!

  • Our wedding events will be adults-only. We hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a getaway in Palm Desert!

  • We kindly request an unplugged ceremony. Feel free to take photos during our cocktail hour and reception!

Pre-Wedding Homework

Mia and Grant watched this movie not long after they started dating, and it partially inspired their choice of wedding location. If you’re in the mood for a good comedy, they definitely recommend it!

Post-Wedding Excursion

You’re invited to join the bride and groom at 10:30am on Saturday, March 28th for a post-wedding excursion to Joshua Tree National Park! More details will be posted here in January, but for now we recommend purchasing park passes here as they will sell out (available for purchase at the end of September 2025).
